B&W Photography
Here you'll find some of my b&w photos from 1997 to the present time. I've always loved photography, especially b&w and experimental process like infrared film, toning, handcoloring, and double exposures. I have my own home darkroom and I shoot, develop, and print my photographs myself. I find that I have better control over the finished product and it's a lot of fun watching the images come to life.
I started seriously into photography in 1997, my junior year of college. I was a Journalism major looking to make myself more marketable so I decided to take a class in photojournalism. Well, I was hooked! And when the guy I was seeing offered to teach me some things in the darkroom, I was thrilled. I've been doing it ever since.
The picture on the upper right hand corner of this website is one of my favorite self-portraits, circa 2000. I look pretty much the same.
I've also taught classes at our local college and have had my photos exhibited.
I hope you enjoy this album. If you have any questions about my work or processes, feel free to email me. I always love talking photography.
